Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, an injectable that stimulates the body’s collagen production. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and firmness to the skin, but its production decreases with age. Sculptra is an amazing option for patients that have quite a bit of fat loss in the face due to having a fast metabolism, lifestyle causes like training for a marathon, or due to GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro (aka “ozempic face”).
